The Table will be for Bethlehem members who are looking to
build stronger relationships, both within our congregation
and outside in the community of Lakewood. The Table will
encourage all members, and especially young
adults/professionals, to get involved in helping the poor and
needy in Lakewood by partnering with "Mean Street Ministries"
(a local auxiliary ministry focused around developing
relationships and providing food to the poor living mostly in
hotels along West Colfax Ave.). Worship, relationships, and
discipleship will also be the three main emphasis for this
ministry – they will simply be packaged in a different
way.
Three Components of this Ministry
- Intentional Discipleship - conforming people
more and more into the image of Jesus will occur through
community outreach as we partner with "Mean Street
Ministries"
- Significant Relationships - relationships will
grow as we gather as the body of Christ for a meal at
6:00pm on Thursdays for both members and the needy from
"Mean Street Ministries." We will use our bus to pick up
and drop off for those who live on Colfax.
- Remarkable Worship - lots of quality music.
Solid teaching/preaching. Experiential (videos, prayer,
liturgy packaged in new ways, personal stories, etc.).
